This standard specifies the hygienic requirements for unsaturated polyester resin and food containers made from unsaturated polyester resin and glass fibre reinforced plastics used as packaging materials (hereinafter referred to as glass fibre reinforced containers).
This standard is applicable to liquid unsaturated polyester resin made from polyester and styrene.Polyester is produced from polyol,unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydrides and saturated dicarboxylic acid anhydrides,etc. as main raw material and adding the styrene . It is also applicable to the glass fibre reinforced containers made from above mentioned resin plus methyl ethyl ketone peroxide as initiator,cobalt naphthenate as catalyst and glass fibre as reinforced material,which can be used for containing meat,vegetables,aquatic products,beverage,wines and other foods.
