China Standard: GB 50094-98 Code for construction and acceptance of spherical tanks

This code is applicable to welded orange-like or combined spherical tanks with a designed pressure ≥0.1Mpa and ≤4Mpa, with a nominal volume ≥ 50 m3, made of carbon steel and alloy steel and supported by legs.

  This code does not apply to the following spherical tanks:

(1)    The tanks exposed to nuclear radiation;

(2)    Movable tanks(e.g. on ships or vehicles );

(3)    Double decked tanks;

(4)    Tanks requiring fatigue analysis;

(5)    Tanks formed by expansion.
