The current standards prescribe the metallographic grading atlas (hereinafter referred to as the grading atlas) and assessing method for steel die forgings.
The current standards are applicable to the structural steel die forgings after quenching and tempering, normalizing, isothermal normalizing and control cooling after forging.
The current standards are not applicable to the assessment to the decarburized structure, overheated structure and burnt structure of forgings.
