This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grades, technical requirements, sampling and test methods, inspection rules, other inspection methods for castings, markings, packaging, rust prevention, storage and transportation requirements for ductile iron castings.
This standard applies to ordinary and low-alloy ductile iron castings cast in sand molds or molds with equivalent thermal conductivity to sand molds.
