This standard specifies two methods for determining the acidity or alkalinity of aqueous extract of paper, board and pulp: Titration method and pH meter method.
The titration method of this standard applies to the determination of acidity or alkalinity of common aqueous extract of paper, board and pulp, not to the paper or board containing alkaline filler or coating. pH value method applies to the aqueous extract of paper, board and pulp, the conductivity of which exceeds 0.2mS/m.
