本标准规定了燃气取暖器(以下简称取暖器)的术语和定义，分类与型号，结构和材料，要求，试验方法，检验规则，标识和说明书，包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于使用GB/T 13611规定的燃气的取暖器，包括：
a) 额定热输入不大于20 kW的家用取暖器；
b) 单个燃烧器额定热输入不大于120 kW的非家用取暖器。
本标准不适用于室外使用的取暖器、冷凝式取暖器、专为工业用途设计的取暖器、在移动的运输交通工具中使用的取暖器。
