本标准规定了供热水系统及空调水系统用手动流量调节阀的分类和标记、工作条件和工作压差、阀体结构及尺寸、材料、要求、试验方法、检验规则、清洁与处理、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于设计压力小于或等于2.5 MPa，设计热水介质温度小于或等于200 ℃，公称直径15 mm～600 mm的供热用手动流量调节阀（以下简称“调节阀”）。
