本标准规定了用聚乙烯树脂为主要原料，经挤出成型的管材和模具成型或二次加工成型的管件(用于污水、废水排放)的材料、产品分类及规格、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于建筑物内重力污、废水排放和虹吸式屋面雨水排水系统。
在无压力的条件下，本标准规定的高密度聚乙烯管内的流体温度应用范围为0℃~ 65℃，瞬间排水温度不超过95℃；高密度聚乙烯管材环境温度应用范围为-40℃~ 65℃ 。
