本标准规定了以聚乙烯树脂为主要原料，经挤出成型的管材和模具成型或二次加工成型管件的材料、产品分类及规格、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于建筑物污水、废水、雨水排放系统用高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)管材及管件。
本标准规定的高密度聚乙烯管适用于排水温度范围为0 ℃~65 ℃，瞬间排水温度不超过95 ℃；适用于环境温度为-40 ℃~65 ℃。
