本标准规定了蝶形缓闭止回阀（以下简称止回阀）的结构型式、产品型号、要求、检验及试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装和贮运。
本标准适用于公称尺寸DN300～DN2 000，DN1 000以上公称压力不大于PN10，DN1 000及以下公称压力不大于PN16，介质为水或物理化学性质类似于水的其他液体，安装于水泵出口管道上，用以防止介质倒流和非正常停泵时破坏性停泵水锤发生的止回阀。
