本标准规定了超声波燃气表（以下简称燃气表）的术语和定义、符号，工作条件，计量特性，结构和材料，指示装置，通信，电源，电磁干扰，其他功能，试验方法，检验规则，标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于最大工作压力不超过50 kPa、最大流量不超过160 m3/h、适应最小工作环境温度范围为－10 ℃～＋40 ℃、双管接头的、采用超声波检测技术进行气体流量计量的全电子式燃气表的设计、生产、试验和验收。
