本标准规定了绒毛类织物单位面积质量和含（覆）绒率的测定方法，并给出了标准状态、干燥状态和公定回潮率下三种状态的指标表示方法。
本标准适用于有绒毛和地组织（底布）结构的绒毛类织物，如长毛绒、驼绒、人造毛皮、丝绒、织（割）绒布、地（壁）毯等。
本标准不适用于拉绒、磨毛等起绒类织物。
