本标准规定了苎麻本色线（以下简称“苎麻线”）的产品分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于鉴定环锭细纱机生产的苎麻长纤纱经并捻而成的股线的品质，为交接验收时的统一规定。
本标准不适用于鉴定特种用途苎麻线的品质。
