本标准规定了合成纤维长丝网络度的三种试验方法——方法A：手工移针法；方法B：手工重锤法；方法C：仪器移针法。
本标准适用于纺织用合成纤维长丝。其中方法A主要适用于牵伸丝；方法B主要适用于变形网络丝；方法C适用于牵伸丝和变形网络丝。当对试验结果有争议时，采用方法A和方法B。
