本标准规定了缝纫线用涤纶长丝的术语和定义，分类规格和标识，技术要求，试验方法，检验规则及标志、包装、运输和贮存的要求。
本标准适用于线密度33 dtex～1 111 dtex、单丝线密度为1.5 dtex～6.0 dtex、圆形截面、有光或半消光、本色缝纫线用涤纶长丝。其他类型的缝纫线用涤纶长丝可参照使用。
