本标准规定了海岛涤纶预取向丝的术语和定义、产品标识、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存的要求。
本标准适用于以碱溶性聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯为海相，聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯为岛相生产的，总线密度55 dtex～500 dtex，圆形截面、半消光、全消光海岛涤纶预取向丝。其他类型的海岛预取向丝可参照使用。
