本文件规定了额定电压不超过1 500 V的移动和/或固定使用的钠基高温蓄电池的性能要求和试验方法。
钠基蓄电池包括钠硫蓄电池和钠-氯化镍蓄电池。两者均为高温蓄电池，而且都使用钠导电固体电解质。关于钠基蓄电池技术、化学成分和结构的更多信息见附录A。
本文件适用于额定电压不超过1 500 V的移动和/或固定使用的钠基高温蓄电池。
本文件不适用于IEC 60952(所有部分)涵盖的航空用蓄电池和IEC 61982(所有部分)涵盖的电动道路车辆推进用蓄电池。
注：高温蓄电池是单体电池内部最低工作温度超过100 ℃的电化学系统。
