Scope of Application：
本文件描述了评定完整(即未破损)艇体长度不小于6 m的帆艇的稳性和浮性的方法，也包括评定易灌水下沉艇的浮性的方法。
利用本文件对稳性和浮性进行评估，为每一艘艇划定与其设计载荷和最大载荷相适应的设计类别 (A、B、C或D)。
本文件适用于艇体长度为6 m~24 m且主要以帆推进（包含配备辅机）的艇的稳性和浮性的评定与分类。本文件也适用于艇体长度小于6 m的艇的稳性和浮性的评定与分类，如果其为可居住艇未达到ISO 12217-3中规定所要求的设计类别，且其设有甲板并具有符合ISO 11812要求的快速泄水的凹体。
本文件包括对可居住的多体艇翻转敏感性的评估、可行的逃生方式的定义和翻转浮性的要求。
本文件不包括:
——ISO 6185所涉及的充气艇和刚性充气艇，ISO 6185中对ISO 12217特定条款的引用除外；
——平底船和脚踏船；
——帆船冲浪板；
——不在排水模式航行时的水翼艇和翼稳定艇。
注： 排水模式指艇仅由静水力支撑。
