本标准规定了2种型别的输送液化石油气和液化天然气用热塑性塑料多层(非硫化)软管及软管组合件的要求。每种型别分为2类，一类是用于岸上，另一类是用于离岸：
——A类用于岸上；
——B类用于离岸。
本标准适用于内径为25 mm~300 mm，工作压力为1.05 MPa~2.5 MPa和工作温度范围为-196 ℃~+45 ℃的热塑性塑料多层(非硫化)软管及软管组合件。
注： 离岸液化天然气软管组合件在EN 1472-2中也有规定。
