本文件规定了气体灭火系统(以下简称“灭火系统”)及组成部件(状态传感单元、数据传输单元、瓶组、喷嘴、选择阀、单向阀、集流管、连接管、安全泄放装置、驱动装置、控制装置、信号反馈装置、减压装置、低泄高封阀、管件、支吊架以及防护区泄压装置)的要求、流量设计计算及验证、检验规则、使用说明书、灭火剂充装及包装、运输、储存等，给出了型号编制方法，描述了相应的试验方法。
本文件适用于七氟丙烷(HFC227ea)等化学合成类灭火剂灭火系统和IG-01(氩气)、IG-100(氮气)、IG-55(氩气、氮气)、IG-541(氩气、氮气、二氧化碳)等惰性气体类灭火剂灭火系统的设计、制造和检验。
本文件不适用于卤代烷灭火系统、高压和低压二氧化碳灭火系统、悬挂式气体灭火装置和柜式气体灭火装置。
