本文件规定了设计用于下述地下或地面作业的岩石钻机和锚固钻机的安全要求：a)爆破钻孔；b)岩石锚固；c)二次破碎钻孔；d)维石钻机；e)矿物勘探，如利用岩心钻探或反循环；f)排水、排瓦斯钻井；g)天井钻孔。注： 钻机可设计用于上述多种操作。词汇见ISO 187581。本文件也适用于ISO 6165中定义的土方机械，经改进成为岩石钻机或锚固钻机。本文件不适用于以下机器：土壤和岩石混合物钻机；［地热钻机、水井钻机、水射流钻机、微型桩钻机；ISO 21467中定义的地面水平定向钻机(HDD)］，凯氏钻机(和套管驱动器)；电缆工具钻机；超前加固钻机；声波钻机；凿井钻机；起重机附着式钻机；井架上的钻机；撬毛钻机。本文件处理附录E中所列的岩石钻机和锚固钻机(见ISO 187581)按预期使用以及在制造商可合理预见的误用条件下所遇到重大危险、危险情况或危险事件。本文件不适用于发布之日以前生产的钻机。
