Scope of Application：
本标准规定了探头与被检工件接触时工件内声场声束特性的测量方法。探头包括直探头、斜探头(折射纵波和折射横波)、聚焦探头和双晶探头。本标准推荐了两种金属参考试块，分别为半圆阶梯试块（HS试块）和横孔试块（SDH试块）。探头晶片直径或边长不大于25 mm。
本标准规定了适于检测锻钢、轧制钢、铝合金或钛合金产品的探头声束特性的测量导则。本标准适用的探头频率范围为1 MHz～15 MHz。1 MHz～5 MHz是最宜于钢铁产品检测的频率范围，5 MHz～15 MHz是最适宜于细晶结构产品（如铝合金产品）检测的频率范围。
如果本标准应用于钢铁产品以外的检测，检测人员宜注意该材质的声速与钢的声速不同，同时斜探头标称折射角通常按在钢中检测设计。本标准给出了斯涅尔定律，以便检测人员计算其他各向同性和细晶材料内折射角。本标准适用于实际折射角范围在0°～70°内的斜探头、聚焦探头和双晶探头。本标准不适用于表面波（瑞利）探头。
本标准不涉及用平底孔试块评价缺欠当量尺寸的内容。本标准不规定验收条款，但为检测人员制定探头性能的验收条款建立技术基础。
