本文件规定了采用双辊铸轧工艺生产的结构级和高强度热轧薄钢板及钢带的特征，双辊铸轧工艺见附录B。本产品适用于具有特殊机械性能要求的应用场合。本产品通常在交付状态下使用，且用于螺栓连接、铆接或焊接的结构。本产品通常在窄带轧机而不是在厚板轧机上进行生产。
结构级双辊铸轧热轧薄钢板及钢带是生产制造成具有规定机械性能的碳钢，可采购获得许多等级（见表5）。
高强度双辊铸轧热轧薄钢板及钢带通过微合金来强化，其生产制造成具有规定的机械性能，同时可采购获得许多等级和类别（见表6）。
