本文件规定了电子倾斜仪的性能要求、试验方法和试验结果。此外，电子倾斜仪的通用要求参见IMO A.694（17）决议，并与IEC 60945相协调。本文件适用于符合IMO MSC.363（92）决议要求的电子倾斜仪。电子倾斜仪提供实际横倾角、横摇摆幅、横摇周期以支持海上决策过程，避免危险情况，保持稳定性（见附录A），协助进行海上事故调查。电子倾斜仪主要由一套传感器、信号处理器、显示器、输入设备和与其他系统的接口组成。本文件不适用于船舶导航和操纵用途范围之外的电子倾斜仪，例如用于监测货物状态的电子倾斜仪。当本文件要求与IEC 60945不一致时，优先采用本文件。
