Scope of Application：
本文件规定了埋弧焊(SAW)钢管或电阻焊和感应焊(EW)钢管焊缝的自动超声横波(由常规或相控阵技术产生)检测的要求。
对于SAW钢管，该检测包括主要平行于焊缝，或者依据协议垂直于焊缝的缺欠的检测，或者两个方向的缺欠检测。
对于EW钢管，该检测包括方向主要平行于焊缝的缺欠的检测。对于纵向缺欠，由制造商选择采用兰姆波检测。
对于EW管焊缝处的缺陷，能够进行全周向超声检测。
本文件也适用于圆形空心型材的检测。
注：无缝钢管和焊接钢管(SAW钢管除外)全周向超声检测见ISO 10893-10。
