GB/T 19212的本部分规定了高绝缘水平分离变压器和输出电压超过1000 V的分离变压器的安全要求。带有电子电路的变压器也包括在本部分中。
注1：安全要求包括电气、温度和机械方面。
除非另有规定，以下“变压器”包括高绝缘水平分离变压器和输出电压超过交流1 000 V或直流1 500 V的分离变压器。
本部分适用于驻立式或移动式、单相或多相、空气冷却（自然冷却或强制冷却)、独立或配套用干式变压器。其绕组可以是包封式或非包封式。
本部分适用于内部工作频率不超过500 Hz的变压器和电源装置（线性)。
当本部分与GB/T 19212.17开关型电源装置结合使用时，也适用于内部工作频率超过500 Hz的电源装置。当两项标准的要求不一致时，优先采用更严格的标准。
本部分适用于额定电源电压不超过交流1 000 V，额定电源频率和内部工作频率不超过500 Hz。
本部分适用于额定输出不超过：
——对于单相变压器，为25 kVA；
——对于多相变压器，为40 kVA。
如果采购方与制造方另有协议时，则本部分也适用于对额定输出不限制的变压器。
