a） Vanilla fragrans Ames, syn. Vanilla planifolia Andrews以及在波旁、印度尼西亚、墨西哥等地区因地理性原产地不同导致在通商中使用不同名称的香荚兰；
b） Vanilla tahitensis J.W. Moore；
c） 由Vanilla fragrans Ames的杂交种子得到的产品。
本文件不适用于其他香荚兰植物（Vanilla pom pona schiede）的生产、科研、教学和贸易。本文件中术语的等效法语术语见附录A。
注1： “波旁”指科摩罗、留尼汪、马达加斯加和毛里求斯生产的Vanilla fragrans Ames。
注2：其他主要香荚兰生产国是（按英文字母排序）中国、印度、印度尼西亚、墨西哥、巴布亚新几内亚、汤加和乌干达。
