本标准适用于临床牙体预备后，进行永久修复前用于保护预备后基牙的临时用聚合物基冠桥材料。
本标准不适用于技工室制作修复体用的永久聚合物基冠桥材料（见YY 0710—2009)，也不适用于直接牙体修复中所用的冠、贴面或修补的聚合物基材料以及那些用于后牙承力区的材料（见YY 1042)。
