本标准规定了空间站应用有效载荷数据通信过程中各类型接口从物理层到应用层各层的数据规范，并规定了MILSTD1553B接口、FCAE1553接口、以太网接口、RS422接口相关内容。本标准仅规定有线传输数据通信规范，不规定无线数据通信规范。本标准适用于空间站应用有效载荷与应用信息系统之间以及应用有效载荷与实验柜之间的数据通信。应用有效载荷之间的数据通信参照本标准。
