Scope of Application：
本文件规定了由耐腐蚀不锈钢制造的粗牙螺纹和细牙螺纹螺母,在环境温度为10 ℃～35 ℃条件下测试时的机械和物理性能。规定了与奥氏体、马氏体、铁素体和双相（奥氏体-铁素体）不锈钢螺母组别对应的性能等级。
GB/T 3098.25提供了适用的不锈钢及其性能的一般规则和附加技术信息。
符合本文件要求的螺母在环境温度10 ℃～35 ℃条件下进行测试。在高温和/或低温下，螺母可能无法保持规定的机械和物理性能。
注1：符合本文件要求的紧固件使用温度为-20 ℃～+150 ℃，但也可以使用到低温至-196 ℃和高温至+300 ℃，更详细资料见GB/T 3098.25。
在-20 ℃～+150 ℃温度范围外使用时，用户有责任咨询有经验的紧固件材料专家，并考虑不锈钢成分、高温或低温下服役时间、温度对紧固件机械性能和被夹紧件的影响,以及螺栓连接的腐蚀性使用环境，以确定对特殊应用的适当选择。
注2：使用温度高达+800 ℃时，GB/T 3098.24给出了适当的不锈钢组别和性能等级的选择。
本文件适用的螺母：
——符合GB/T 192规定的普通螺纹；
——符合GB/T 193和GB/T 9144规定的直径与螺距组合；
——粗牙螺纹M5~M39，细牙螺纹M8×1~M39×3；
——螺纹公差符合GB/T 197和GB/T 9145规定 ；
——规定性能等级和保证载荷；
——薄螺母、标准螺母和高螺母三种螺母型式；
——螺母高度mmin ≥0.45D；
——外径或对边宽度smin≥1.45 D（见附录A）；
——任何形状；
——能与符合GB/T 3098.6规定性能等级的螺栓、螺钉和螺柱配合使用。
在满足所有适用的化学成分、机械和物理性能技术要求时，不锈钢组别和性能等级可用于超出本文件规定的规格范围（即D<5 mm或D>39 mm）。
本文件未规定以下性能要求：
