本标准规定了涡轮机油的产品品种及标记、要求和试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于以精制矿物油或合成原料为基础油，加入抗氧剂、腐蚀抑制剂和抗磨剂等多种添加剂制成的，在电站涡轮机润滑和控制系统，包括蒸汽轮机、水轮机、燃气轮机和具有公共润滑系统的燃气蒸汽联合循环涡轮机中使用的涡轮机油。也适用于其他工业或船舶用途的涡轮机驱动装置润滑系统使用的涡轮机油。
本标准不适用于抗燃型涡轮机油及具有特殊要求的水轮机润滑油。
