本标准规定了客车座椅及其车辆固定件的强度要求与试验方法。
本标准适用于M2和M3类的Ⅱ级、Ⅲ级及B级客车中前向安装的乘客座椅，以及此类客车所有乘客座椅的车辆固定件及其座椅安装。也适用于此类客车上安装于座椅前方的约束隔板及其车辆固定件。
本标准不适用于后向座椅、侧向座椅和可折叠座椅, 也不适用于驾驶员座椅。
