本标准规定了生产玻璃纤维纱和玻璃球单位产品能源消耗(简称能耗)限额的技术要求、统计范围和计算方法、节能管理与措施。
本标准适用于中碱或无碱玻璃球生产企业和以池窑法或坩埚法生产E玻璃、ECR玻璃和中碱玻璃纤维生产企业的能耗计算、考核，以及对新建项目的能耗控制。
本标准不适用于高强玻璃纤维、高硅氧玻璃纤维、耐碱玻璃纤维等特种玻璃纤维的生产企业。
