本标准规定了钢管脚手架扣件分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于建筑工程中钢管公称外径为48.3 mm的脚手架、井架、模板支撑等使用的由可锻铸铁或铸钢制造的扣件，也适用于市政、水利、化工、冶金、煤炭和船舶等工程中使用的扣件。公称外径为51 mm的钢管脚手架扣件及在用的扣件也可参照本标准执行。
