本标准规定了世界制造厂识别代号的内容与构成。世界制造厂识别代号(WMI)是GB 16735中所述的车辆识别代号(VIN)的第一部分。 本标准适用于汽车及其非完整车辆、挂车、摩托车和轻便摩托车。其他需要标示VIN的车辆可参照执行。
