本标准是从物理性能和预定使用方面对矿用机械正铲式挖掘机提出的限制。本标准所规定的安全要求适用于GB/T 15706.1中规定的机器寿命期内各阶段所产生的危险。
本标准未涉及到的危险与GB/T 15706.1～GB/T 15706.2一致。关于通用的机械、电气、气动和其他设备的危险，不包括在本标准中。
本标准适用于露天矿山、工程中使用的符合GB/T 10604—2008中4.1规定的矿用机械正铲式挖掘机（以下简称挖掘机）。
