本标准规定了金属卤化物灯的能效等级、能效限定值、节能评价值、试验方法和检验规则。本标准适用于透明玻壳的钪钠系列金属卤化物灯（单端50 W～1 500 W，双端70 W～250 W）,陶瓷金属卤化物灯（20 W～400 W）。
本标准不适用于涂粉泡壳或防爆型金属卤化物灯。
