本标准规定了切片机的安全和卫生要求。
本标准适用于装有直径大于150 mm电动圆形切割刀片和往复式进料滑板的可移动切片机。它们一般用于商店、餐厅、超市和食堂等。
该类切片机包括：
——水平进料切片机（手工操作：见图1；或自动化操作：见图13）；
——重力进料切片机（手工操作：见图2；或自动化操作）。
本标准适用于本标准实施后生产的切片机。
本标准不涉及工业用切片机。这类切片机被固定安装在某一位置，通常用于肉联厂和肉制品加工厂。
