本标准规定了单元式空气调节机的安全要求。
本标准适用于制冷量大于等于7 000 W、额定电压小于600 V交流电源的空气冷却和水冷却的单元式空气调节机（单冷型、热泵型、带辅助电加热的热泵型及纯电加热制热型）。
本标准也适用于多联式空调（热泵）机组、风管送风式空调（热泵）机组、屋顶式风冷空调(热泵)机组、除湿机、热泵热水机、全新风空调热泵机组等。
本标准不适用于非机械制冷方式的单元式空气调节机。
