Scope of Application：
This standard specifies the methods for determining the migration levels of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and their esters in food contact materials and articles.
Part 1: The gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method is applicable to the determination of the migration levels of 18 acrylates and methacrylates in food contact materials and articles, including isobutyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, isopropyl acrylate, propyl acrylate, tert-butyl acrylate, benzyl acrylate, octyl acrylate, sec-butyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, isobutyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate, tert-butyl methacrylate, phenyl methacrylate, propyl methacrylate, benzyl methacrylate, sec-butyl methacrylate, and isopropyl methacrylate.
Part 2: The liquid chromatography (LC) method is applicable to the determination of the migration levels of six acrylic acids, methacrylic acids, and their esters in food contact materials and articles, including acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, methyl acrylate, and methyl methacrylate.
