Scope of Application:
This standard specifies the methods for determining the ethanol concentration (alcohol content) in alcoholic beverages and edible alcohol.
Part 1: The pycnometer method is applicable to the determination of ethanol concentration (alcohol content) in alcoholic beverages and edible alcohol.
Part 2: The alcohol meter method is applicable to the determination of ethanol concentration (alcohol content) in alcoholic beverages (excluding beer) and edible alcohol.
Part 3: The gas chromatography method is applicable to the determination of ethanol concentration (alcohol content) in beer, wine, and fruit wine.
Part 4: The digital density meter method using the U-tube oscillation is applicable to the determination of ethanol concentration (alcohol content) in alcoholic beverages and edible alcohol.
