Scope of Application:  
This standard specifies the methods for determining protein in food.
The first and second methods of this standard apply to the determination of protein in various foods, while the third method is suitable for the screening determination of solid samples with a protein content above 10 g/100 g, such as grains, legumes, milk powder, rice flour, and protein powder.
This standard does not apply to the determination of foods containing added inorganic nitrogenous substances or organic non-protein nitrogenous substances.
