本标准规定了：铸造防尘的总则、工艺措施、建筑措施、设备措施以及其他措施；炉窑、铸造原材料处理、造型、制芯、落砂、清理精整的防尘、除尘措施；通风除尘系统技术措施及防尘工作的管理和监督。
本标准适用于铸钢、铸铁、有色金属铸造车间的新建、改建、扩建建设项目和技术改造、技术引进项目的设计和管理。现有铸造车间也应遵照本标准执行。生产铸造设备和为铸造车间服务的企事业单位也应遵照本标准执行。
