本标准规定了在设计温度下介质的饱和蒸气压小于0.1　MPa的铝制 (即罐体部分的壳体、封头以及其上焊接构件为纯铝及铝合金材料) 铁道罐车的设计、制造、检验及验收要求。

本标准适用于1 435 mm标准轨距运输浓硝酸、冰醋酸、乙二醇、过氧化氢、丙烯酸酯以及类似介质用的铝制铁道罐车（以下简称罐车）。
