本标准适用于一般用途的闭式单动机械压力机，如金属材料的落料、弯曲、成型以及拉伸加工等工序中使用的曲轴式及偏心式压力机（以下简称压力机）。
本标准不适用于锻造用压力机、多连杆压力机以及特殊结构的专用压力机（如粉末成型压力机）。
