GB/T 11446的本部分规定了无火焰（或火焰）原子吸收分光光度计测定电子级水中痕量金属铜、锌、镍、铁、铅、钠和钾的测试方法。也可使用灵敏度相当的其他仪器如电感耦合等离子体/质谱仪（或电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪）测量。
无火焰原子吸收分光光度适用于EW-Ⅰ～EW-Ⅲ级电子级水中痕量金属的测定。方法的检出限（质量分数）应在1×10-9以下。
火焰原子吸收分光光度法适用于EW-Ⅳ电子级水中痕量金属的测定。
