本标准规定了二氧化铀芯块中硼测定的方法提要、试剂和材料、仪器和设备、试样、分析步骤、结果计算及方法精密度。
本标准适用于二氧化铀芯块中硼的测定，也适用于核纯八氧化三铀中硼的测定。当二氧化铀取样量为0.5 g时，硼含量的测定范围为：(0.1～1.0) μg/g。
每克试样中允许共存元素的微克量见附录A。
