本标准规定了货运架空索道的设计、制造、检验、使用与管理等方面最基本的安全要求。
本标准适用于循环式货运架空索道和往复式货运架空索道。
本标准不适用于林业集材索道、其他部门的简易索道和客货两用索道以及临时架设的轻便索道。
