本标准规定了各边尺寸不小于2.0 m的电磁屏蔽室屏蔽效能的测量和计算方法。测试频率范围为9 kHz～18 GHz。根据需要，频率向两端可以扩展到50 Hz和100 GHz。
如果屏蔽室用于全电波暗室或半电波暗室，则屏蔽效能的测试应在吸波材料安装以前进行。
