本标准规定了船用臂架起重机（以下简称“起重机”）的要求、检验规则、分类及标志。
本标准适用于由电动或液压驱动的装卸货物用的单臂架起重机（作业于港区或海上风力不大于蒲氏2 级的水域）的设计、验收。
本标准不适用于电磁和抓斗起重机、近海平台起重机以及杂品、吊艇等辅助作业起重机的设计、验收。
